Vease Technologies Ltd. (“Vease,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the NoTape mobile application and the vease.ca website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
We are a Canadian company based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
When you create a NoTape account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. Your account is managed through Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider. We do not collect your name, date of birth, or other personal identifiers during registration.

NoTape captures measurements through several methods: manual entry, AR point-and-tap, AR room scanning (iOS with LiDAR), AR perimeter walk (Android), and photo-reference scaling. Measurement records include the calculation mode (rectangle, combined, staircase, or irregular), the capture source, raw input geometry for re-editing, the computed area in square feet, and the unit system you were working in (feet, feet-and-inches, inches, meters, centimeters, or yards).
You can attach before and after photos to jobs. Photos are uploaded to a private storage bucket, organized under your user account. Each photo record stores the photo’s tag (before or after), a storage path, and the capture timestamp.
When you grant location permission on your device, NoTape may attach GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) to job records and photos. This helps you identify job sites later. Location data is permission-gated on your device and is never collected without your explicit consent. You can edit or remove location data from any record.
NoTape uses your device’s camera for AR measurements and photo capture. All AR processing happens entirely on your device. Camera frames are processed by ARKit (iOS) or ARCore (Android) on-device to detect surfaces and compute positions. No camera images or AR scene data are transmitted to our servers. The only data sent to our servers are the computed measurement results (3D coordinates and areas) that you choose to save.
When you create a quote, NoTape stores line items (description, area, price per square foot, amount), pricing details (subtotal, discount, total), material estimates (such as polymeric sand and sealer quantities), and a generated quote document (DOCX format) in private storage.
NoTape subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription lifecycle events (purchases, renewals, cancellations, expirations) to track your subscription status. We store your subscription status, entitlement type, and current period end date. We do not store your payment card details, billing address, or transaction amounts—those are held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

Every table in our database enforces row-level security (RLS). This means you can only read and write your own data—no user can access another user’s clients, jobs, measurements, photos, or quotes, even with a valid authentication token for their own account.
Photo and quote document files are stored in private storage buckets with path-based access policies, scoped to your user ID. Only you can access your files.
Subscription records are read-only for users. Only our server-side webhook (authenticated with a shared secret and verified with constant-time comparison) can update subscription status, preventing any client-side manipulation of entitlements.
NoTape is designed to work without an internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device first and synced to our servers when a connection is available. This means your measurements, client records, and job data are always available to you, even in areas without cell service.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed through cascading deletions—deleting your user account removes all associated clients, jobs, measurements, photos, quotes, and subscription records.

NoTape is a professional tool designed for contractors and tradespeople. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of NoTape after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
